Description

This handmade vintage linen apron makes a beautiful gift for a lover of timeless styles!

Made from 100% medium-weight premium linen fabric, pre-washed and handmade by me here in New Zealand. This fabric is sturdy and durable yet soft and flowy. It’s fullness offers complete coverage when working in the garden or kitchen and has a charming, feminine feel.

One size fits all! The straps are completely adjustable so it can sit as low or high as you like at the front, and be as tight as you choose around the waist. The straps are attached at the top bodice and lace in a cross back through the waist loops, tying at the centre back. An elegant yet extremely efficient design!

Please get in touch if you’d like to make color or size adjustments. Or, if you’d like to add personalisation with hand-embroidery adornment, added frills, pocket customization, etc! I love working with clients to create the exact piece they’re looking for!

To preserve this apron’s long lifespan, preferably wash on a gentle cycle with lukewarm water. Care instructions included in packaging 🙂

Handmade, hand-embroidered home linens and aprons – heirloom pieces for your home.

My passion is for preserving the art of hand embroidery and sewing through creating high quality, heirloom pieces.

Most, if not all, embroidered wares now on the market are machine-embroidered. What once was a highly patroned artform has now been reduced to a small sphere of hobbyists, replaced by efficient yet lackluster machines.

Each piece takes exquisite time and care and is handmade by me, here in Wellington, New Zealand. I use only pure linens and cottons that, with good care, will last generations!

Just as I hope my cherished wares are passed down through generations, I also hope to contribute to passing down the skills to make them. I was taught to sew and embroider by my mother, who was taught by her mother, who was taught by hers, and so on! I’m excited to add my daughter to this list when she is old enough.

I’m very happy to take any commissions and delight in working with clients to develop a special piece unique to them.
